Welcome to our exhibition for Chrisp Street Market. Poplar HARCA and Telford Homes are committed to delivering a bright future for the Market.

Tower Hamlets council granted permission to deliver a brand new market canopy, more homes and shops, improved landscaping and community facilities back in March 2019. Since then, we have started work on the site. However, Covid times have demonstrated that retail and housing demands are changing rapidly. We have therefore asked Tower Hamlets Council for permission to deliver more affordable homes, which will be available to rent rather than to buy privately.

We have also proposed some minor changes to the design of the buildings, some of the retail layouts and to the amenity spaces. The exhibition took residents through these changes before we went back to Tower Hamlets Council to submit our revised planning application.
